Bere Grove Care Home, located at Gales Rise, Horndean, regularly hosts a Gentleman’s Club on the first and third Friday of each month to help men in the community make friends, share stories and prevent social isolation. Several male residents from Bere Grove also take part, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere where everyone benefits.

Each week offers something different, with activities tailored to the needs and interests of those who attend. The club is led by Paul Bayley, Head of Maintenance, and supported by Graham Allen, General Manager, and Dimitrie Turcea, Deputy General Manager.

Paul said: "This is a fabulous club to be part of. The gentlemen thoroughly enjoy themselves and love sharing their experiences and taking part in the quizzes and activities we put on.

Ian, a regular attendee, commented: "I look forward to the Gentlemen’s Club every time. It’s a great chance to have a laugh, meet new people and feel part of something, I’ve made some great friends and would encourage anyone to come along."
