Young Portsmouth FC stars visit Gosport's Utilita to mark sponsorship renewal

ENERGY firm Utilita has shown its support for Pompey – by backing its under-18 side.

Utilita, a pay-as-you-go company that was founded in 2007, has renewed its partnership with Pompey Academy and will continue to have their logo appear on the front of the under-18 side’s shirts.

It builds on the partnership between Portsmouth Football Club and the energy supplier, which also sponsors the Fratton End and Pompey Women.

Players Charlie Bell, Harvey Rew and Harry Anderson visited the firm’s shop in High Street, Gosport to mark the sponsorship renewal.

Jem Maidment, Utilita’s chief marketing officer, said: ‘Clubs such as Pompey have a terrific understanding of the importance of engaging with the community – we really appreciate the academy and the club’s support in attending Utilita’s Gosport Energy Hub.

This is designed to educate the nation on how every household can waste less energy and save money by making five simple and free-of-charge adjustments to the way we use energy at home.

The company was set up by managing director Bill Bullen, a conservationist who wanted to create an energy company that helped households consume less energy, and pay less.

It has more than 750,000 customers today, across the UK.
