Whiteley takeaway Tiger Lily under investigation after poor food hygiene rating
A CHINESE takeaway in under investigation after getting a one star food hygiene rating.
Tiger Lily in Gull Coppice, Whiteley, was inspected by environmental health officers from Fareham Borough Council on January 10.
But after receiving a one star hygiene rating, the restaurant has been placed under investigation, with criticisms of food handling practices, cleanliness and ventilation.

The food hygiene ratings in the UK rank from zero to five, with one star rating as ‘major improvement necessary’ at the restaurant.
A full report into the restaurant is currently not available as the investigation is ongoing, and a date for the conclusion of this investigation has not yet been given.
The restaurant’s menu promotes a mix of Chinese and Asian food, with 207 items for customers to choose from.
Tiger Lily is open from 12-2pm and 5-11pm from Tuesday to Friday, and from 5-11pm on weekends.
Fareham Borough Council cannot officially comment in any capacity at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
Tiger Lily has also been contacted by The News for a comment.
