"We’re thrilled to announce" - One of UK's "best-loved" toy stores, The Entertainer, opening in Gunwharf for festive season
A popular toy store is celebrating its official opening in Gunwharf Quays tomorrow with a special sale.
The Entertainer will be opening its doors on Canalside, next to The Pompey Shop, on Friday, December 5 at 10am. Shoppers will be able to get their hands on brands such as LEGO, Barbie and Paw Patrol, with the store offering an extra 20 per cent off all toys when spending £40 or more - while stocks last.
Andrew Murphy OBE, Group Chief Executive Officer of The Entertainer, is delighted to be opening the outlet store in Portsmouth as the festive season begins.
He said: “As the UK’s largest toy retailer, we’re thrilled to announce the opening of a brand-new store at Gunwharf Quays this weekend.
“Our new Gunwharf Quays outlet store will offer everything we’re proud of at The Entertainer– an exciting range of toys for every budget, the introduction of a huge range of global brands and products to Portsmouth at even better value, and our market-leading 30-minute click and collect service.
“Across our 160 shops, we’re proud to be famous for our friendly, helpful and knowledgeable colleagues, as well as our support of local charities and communities. Like all our UK stores, our new Portsmouth location will also offer a ‘Quiet Hour’ to support customers with sensory difficulties during the first hour of every shopping day.
“We’re confident that local Portsmouth shoppers will enjoy discovering our brand-new toy outlet at Gunwharf Quays once open – especially with the festive season just around the corner.”
As well toys for bigger kids, The Entertainer also stocks Early Learning Centre and Addo products for babies and toddlers.
Yvonne Clay, Centre Director at Gunwharf Quays, commented: “As one of the UK’s best-loved toy retailers, we are delighted to welcome The Entertainer to Gunwharf Quays, further enhancing our family-friendly offering.
“Opening in time for the festive season, guests will be able to explore an extensive range of toys and gifts, making the new store a perfect addition for Christmas shopping at Gunwharf Quays.”
