'This isn't something we ever wanted': The Beast Cafe in Gosport announces closure due to 'personal issues'
A cafe is set to close next month
The owners of a cafe have said ‘situations behind the scenes’ have forced them to announce the eatery’s closure.

The Beast Cafe, in Forton Road, was established by friends Owen Arney, Joey Kabadayi and Merlin Archer in November 2025, with the aim of creating an affordable cafe in Gosport.

The cafe dishes up traditonal breakfasts, baps, sandwiches, cake and jacket potatoes, as well as a food challenge, and it has been a popular choice with many locals.
But, the owners have confirmed the business will close on June 10 due to “personal issues”.
The post said: “This post is one of the hardest we’ve had to make - The Beast Café will officially be closing its doors.
“To every single person that came down, supported us, shared a post, attempted a challenge, ordered food, had a laugh with us or even just showed love from afar. Thank you genuinely. The support never went unnoticed.”
The owners said “this isn’t the end of The Beast brand though” with plans to “potentially” move in a “whole different direction” in the future.
More updates in due course.
