Stranded commuters offered a place to work

WORKERS affected by the railway strikes are being offered a free work space during the industrial action.

Regus is giving free access to its business lounge at Portsmouth North Harbour, providing stranded commuters with a professional work space, Wifi and complimentary refreshments. The latest strikes run until midnight on Thursday.

Further strikes are planned on Thursday, November 3 to Saturday, November 5, and from Tuesday, November 22 to Wednesday, November 23, and Tuesday, December 6 until Thursday, December 8.

Richard Morris, UK CEO at Regus said: ‘We want to provide a convenient solution for businesses amidst the disruption and to help professionals stay productive.

‘For many, working from home on these days is not realistic. The strikes raise larger questions about the commuting model in today’s age.’
