Step inside the new-look H&M store in Portsmouth which offers a fantastic shopping experience

A prime city centre store has reopened its doors this morning (Thursday, November 20) after a four-month closure for a refurbishment.

The new-look H&M store in Commercial Road has been re-designed to enhance the shopping experience including self-service checkouts, click & collect lockers, and a modern open interior across two floors. It also introduces its H&M HOME range alongside its expansive womenswear, menswear, kid’s fashion, and beauty collections.

Klas Degeryd, Head of Expansion UK & Ireland, said: “We’re excited to welcome customers back to our Portsmouth store, now featuring H&M HOME. This addition allows us to broaden our range with stylish homeware alongside our fashion collections, creating a convenient destination for everything in one place.

“With enhanced interior design and improved omni-channel services, the store offers an inspiring and seamless shopping experience, inviting customers to discover and enjoy our latest fashion and home offerings.”

The store’s reopening is a big boost to the city centre, with the shop being one of the largest in Commercial Road.

Cllr Steve Pitt, Leader of Portsmouth City Council said: “We’re pleased to see H&M investing in its future on Commercial Road. This major refurbishment is great news for the city centre and will benefit national chains, independent shops and market traders alike. In the new year, we’ll continue driving forward our plans for City Centre North, bringing much-needed homes, jobs and new leisure facilities to the area.”
