Starbucks set to move into vacant unit in Wellington Retail Park Waterlooville as planning permission submitted
Planning permission sought for external illuminated signs
A major coffee chain is set to open in a vacant unit in Waterlooville.
Starbucks have applied for planning permission to have illuminated signs installed on the exterior of the building in Wellington Retail Park. The unit was formerly part of Carpet Right which after its closure was divided into two smaller spaces.
The application is requesting permission for one facia panel with a green background and white illuminated Starbucks lettering to be installed with an illuminated Starbucks logo to be displayed above it. The application is currently under consultation.

The coffee chain will be opening next to Superdrug which moved into the other half of the former larger unit in May this year.
It will be the second coffee chain to move into Wellington Retail Park, with a Costa Coffee already in position across the car park from it. In addition there is another Costa Coffee in Waterlooville Town Centre while another Costa drive-through is currently under construction in Waterloo Park, less than a mile away.
The planning application can be found under reference APP/26/00268 and viewed online via the Havant Borough Council planning portal.
