Sports Direct set to open in Gosport at the end of April
Sports Direct is taking over the former Poundland store
The popular leisure brand has taken over the former Poundland store in the High Street which closed on January 29 after the company was unable to secure a new agreement with the landlord after its lease expired.
But the unit has not sat empty for long, with its new tenants almost ready to welcome new customers.
A Frasers Group spokesperson for Sports Direct said: "We're pleased to announce the opening of a new Sports Direct store in Gosport.
“Set to open at the end of April, this store will span 6,000 sq. ft and bring the community a diverse offering of the world's best sports and lifestyle brands."
Sports Direct also has nearby shops in Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham and Whiteley.
