Unison member Sheree Earnshaw said: ‘We are trying to get the government to get rid of zero-hour contracts.’

Councillor Beryl Francis, who represents Warren Park on Havant Borough Council, was also at the demo.

She said: ‘It is appalling that there are so many people who fear for their jobs due to zero-hour contracts. They are very badly treated. We are here to make people aware.’
