The new store has given them more space to stock a wider range of products, with the grand opening on October 25 drawing a large queue of people outside.
Karl said: “The response has been absolutely brilliant. Opening day couldn't have one any better, we had a queue of people waiting to get in. It literally couldn't have gone any better and we thank everyone that has come to visit. Hopefully it carries on that way.
“You don't see many independent stores expanding, in fact you see a lot them closing, so it is great to be able to expand in this way.”
Having built a loyal customer base with its store in Widley, the owners decided to move in order to be able to meet more of their customers’ needs.
Anne-Marie said: “We have been open a couple of weeks now and we are so pleased that we have now got a bigger square footage for new and existing parents to be able to browse more products that we couldn't offer before in our store in Widley.
“We now have an upstairs viewing platform for new parents to have a look around. We have nursery furniture from various brands, next-to-me cribs, high chairs and nursing chairs.”
With competition from internet brands and nationwide chains, the bigger store has enabled Baby B to offer more alternative options for local parents.
Anne-Marie said: “Since the move to Farlington we have now created a one-stop independents store which means that parents shouldn't feel the need to shop elsewhere, or at chain stores, as we do offer a price match service and independent payment plans.”
