Network fault leaves several Waterlooville shops without power as Greggs, Boots and Poundland close its doors
Several shops have been left without power in Waterlooville with engineers on their way to the issue.
Shops in the town centre such as Boots, Poundland and Greggs have been forced to close due to a fault on the underground network on Friday, January 30.
Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) are aware of the issue and currently have engineers expected to arrive at the issue at around 1.45pm.

A statement on its website said: “We’re sorry about the power cut in the area. The power cut is affecting some properties in the area but not all. We are working with our engineers to fix the problem as quickly as possible, and we’ll keep you updated.
“The cause of this power cut is a fault on our underground network. This is the most common type of fault we see, and our team a are very experienced in dealing with these issues.”
The SSEN states it is currently aiming to have the power back on by 6pm but this may change once engineers are able to assess the situation further.
