"Frustrating" delays in postal deliveries in Waterlooville and Chichester as a result of bad weather and staff sickness
Residents in the Waterlooville and Chichester areas are being warned there may be a delay in them receiving their post as a result of poor weather and Royal Main staff sickness.
The company has listed 38 delivery offices which could be most affected by a slower service with Waterlooville’s PO7 and PO8 postcodes and Chichester’s P018-PO20 among those hit.
This not only includes the town and the city, but also covers surrounding areas such as Horndean, Clanfield, Denmead, Hambledon, Bosham, Funtington, Goodwood, Boxgrove, Fishbourne and the Manhood Peninsula.

A spokesman for the company said "adverse weather, including storms Goretti, Ingrid and Chandra in January, alongside higher-than-usual sick absence, has caused some short-term disruption to certain routes".
The spokesman acknowledged "how frustrating it is when post does not arrive as expected" and said the vast majority of post would be delivered as planned.
Regulator Ofcom last year gave the go-ahead for Royal Mail to scrap second class letter deliveries on Saturdays and change the service to every other weekday instead of the current six days a week.
