Portsmouth company designs new surface shield to help cut Covid
A LOCAL business has produced a protective surface covering designed to kill 93.41 percent of viruses which can hopefully help reduce the risk of Covid transmission.
The Touchshield product has been developed by Portsmouth based company Gardiner Graphics Group.
Chief executive Tom Powell said: ‘We don`t have a cure for Covid 19, but we do have a further barrier. We wanted to produce an anti-microbial range of protective films that would be accessible and easy-to-apply to everyday surfaces.’

The shield is designed for smooth surfaces such as desks, restaurant tables, doors and handrails.
Tom added: ‘As we head into a new national lockdown, this product acts as an extra precaution to protect our communities, our customers, and our businesses.
‘We all want nothing more than for this to be the last time we close our doors and we truly feel this new innovation supports that.’
