New Superdrug store opens in Waterlooville retail park as part of company's continued expansion

A retail park has celebrated the launch of a new store

Half of a former carpet shop has been transformed into a new health and beauty store as part of the company’s major expansion plans across the UK.

Superdrug has celebrated the launch of its new 4,988sq. ft space in Wellington Retail Park, Waterlooville, on Wednesday, May 13, after moving into part of the previous Carpetright store.

It was confirmed the shop would occupy part of the vacant site at the start of this year after the carpet store closed in 2024 as part of a wider administration process. That unit has now been subdivided into two, with Superdrug occupying one of the new smaller sites.

The new shop gives customers access to the latest health and beauty products, everyday toiletries, beauty treatments, and luxury fragrances. Shoppers can explore a bigger selection of cosmetics, an extended range of premium fragrances and beauty services, including a nail bar.

Superdrug said the store also boasts an extensive beauty offering, featuring Superdrug’s own-brand cosmetics range, Studio London, as well as other best-selling ranges such as B. Skin, Me+, Vitamin E, and Optimum.

It has also previously confirmed that there are no plans to close its other store in the nearby Waterlooville town centre.

The new Superdrug shop will be open Monday to Friday between 8am and 8.30pm, 8.30am to 6pm on Saturdays and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
