Mystery Solved: ‘Julius is Coming’ Posters Revealed as Creative Rebrand by Local Agency

The mystery behind the “Julius is Coming” posters that appeared across Portsmouth in recent weeks has finally been unveiled.

The campaign was created by We Are Jungle, a family-run Portsmouth web design agency, as part of their bold new rebrand.

The cryptic posters, which featured only the phrase “Julius is Coming” and a QR code linking to a countdown website, garnered online speculation from locals who wondered what it could mean.

It has been revealed that the campaign was designed by Brad and Kay Goddard, managing director and key account director, to spark curiosity, conversation, and community engagement.

Over the weekend, the agency invited members of the local business community to Casemates Studios, where they officially revealed their new brand identity, along with the meaning behind “Julius.”

Julius is the company’s new mascot, symbolising creativity, energy, and the agency’s mission to help local businesses stand out.

Brad Goddard, Director of We Are Jungle, said the campaign was all about bringing people together: “We wouldn’t be where we are without the amazing local businesses in the community, including graphic designer Charlotte Simonsen, who designed the rebrand.

“This whole campaign was about celebrating the people who support us, sparking conversation in the city, and reminding everyone how strong the Portsmouth business community truly is.”
