More than 20 jobs up for grabs at Portsmouth-based Checktrade

Checkatrade is looking to recruit more than 20 new permanent sales employees based at the company’s headquarters in Lakeside, North Harbour, Portsmouth.

The firm, which started in 1998 and is the UK’s biggest website for finding a tradesperson, is going through a period of investment and growth.

The company has been hiring throughout the UK lockdown and did not furlough a single employee.

John Frith, chief people officer, said: ‘Our people are the voices behind the strong relationships we have secured with thousands of UK tradespeople and as we continue to grow, we are keen to build on that success.’

For 20 years, Checkatrade has been helping consumers combat rogue traders across the UK. It has 43,000 trades on its books, who have all passed a robust vetting process.
