Luxurious No Man's Fort in the Solent could become single home instead of 23-bed hotel

A FORT off the coast of Portsmouth home to a luxurious 23-bed hotel could soon become a single home.

Owners of No Man’s Land Fort have applied to Isle of Wight Council to get permission for the change in use.

The 4,714 sqm fort has 23 en suite guest bedrooms, helipad, five bars and rooftop pools.

Built along with Spitbank and Horse Sand forts in the 1860s by Lord Palmerston, they were designed to act as a line of defence for Britain.
