Buying an HP printer? This code adds three free months of ink

A new printer can be useful for everything from homework to family photographs, but replacing the ink is a less welcome part of the purchase.
For anyone shopping for one this autumn, an HP promotion could put that expense off for a little longer.
The company is offering new Instant Ink customers three extra months free with an eligible printer. Owners of compatible HP printers who have not yet subscribed can also access the offer.
Those additional months sit on top of any Instant Ink trial already included with the printer, so the total introductory period will depend on the model.
For new printer purchases, the qualifying window runs from August 1 to October 31, 2026. Customers must enrol in HP Instant Ink within seven days of installing their eligible printer.
The important detail is the code SUMMER26UKI, which needs to be entered in the “Promotional or PIN code” box during registration.
HP says printing during the trial months is included regardless of the monthly page plan selected. That could come in handy for school projects, university assignments, Christmas decorations or finally printing some of the photographs gathering dust on a phone.
Unlike buying cartridges as and when they run out, Instant Ink is a subscription based on how many pages a household prints.
Customers select a monthly allowance, and their compatible, internet-connected printer monitors ink levels. When supplies run low, HP automatically sends replacement cartridges. Delivery and cartridge recycling are included.
Monthly plans currently range from £1.79 for 10 pages to £28.99 for 700 pages, with several options in between.
Once the free period ends, the selected plan becomes a paid subscription unless cancelled. Unused pages can then roll over, up to a maximum balance of three times the monthly allowance. Someone paying for 50 pages a month, for instance, can accumulate up to 150 rollover pages.
Subscribers can change their plan or cancel without an additional cancellation fee. An upgrade applies immediately, while a downgrade or cancellation takes effect after the current billing period.
