Homes in Portchester left without water after main burst
PEOPLE in Portchester have woken up to find they have no water.
Portsmouth Water customers at The Causeway in Portchester have been left without running water this morning.
Others, at The Thicket and The Spinney, are experiencing reduced water pressure.
The disruption – which Portsmouth water says has affected about 30 properties – was caused by a burst PVC main between Tor Close and Crest Close at about 8am.
A spokesperson for Portsmouth Water, which now has teams on-site, said: ‘We are expecting work to be finished in the early afternoon.’
