Hampshire car parks spared as NCP announce 22 sites to close this week

The administrators of car park operator NCP have announced 22 sites will close this week that have been deemed “commercially unviable” - however its Hampshire sites have been spared.

This included the Portsmouth & South Station Car Park and two small car parks on Minnitt Road in Gosport. A list of 22 NCP car parks have now been released which will close to customers at 11.59pm on Friday, March 27.

The Portsmouth and Gosport sites have not been included in the closures are expected to stay open with no other closures announced.

An NCP spokesperson said: “Following an initial assessment of operations, the joint administrators have identified 22 sites that are commercially unviable and will therefore be closed to customers from 11:59pm on March 27.

“Regrettably, due to the closure of these sites, 33 employees will be made redundant on March 31. They will be supported through the statutory redundancy payments process.
