SpudBros Portsmouth is giving away free spuds for International Day of the Potato — how to get one
Free spuds are up for grabs to celebrate International Day of the Potato
Jacket potatoes are set to be the talk of the town this weekend as a newly opened business prepares to give out free spuds.
To celebrate International Day of the Potato on Saturday, May 30, jacket potato creators, SpudBros, together with Taster, the European leader in creator-led food brands, will be giving away free spuds in every SpudBros Express store nationwide - including the Portsmouth franchise.

The celebration comes following rapid expansion for the viral food brand, which first built a cult following from its Preston tram before exploding across social media.
As part of the business’s growth, Jacob alongside his business partner and brother, Harley, visited the city centre for the launch of Hampshire’s first SpudBros franchise, which launched in Commercial Road back in January.
The franchisee, Sunny Bassi, told The News that he was inspired by TikTok sensations to open the new site which saw huge queues turn out for the official launch.
Jacob Nelson, co-founder of SpudBros, said: “It’s crazy to think something as simple as a jacket potato has built this kind of community. International Day of the Potato felt like the perfect excuse to give something back to the people who queue up, support us online and have helped turn SpudBros into what it is today.
“We can’t wait to see everyone in store and celebrate properly with free spuds across the country.”
Each location serves up a range of favourites, from the tram classic loaded with garlic butter, the signature three-cheese mix, beans, crispy onions and tram sauce, to the Spudfather topped with chilli con carne, tuna coleslaw and bolognese, alongside the popular build-your-own option.
