Founders of Portsmouth Distillery step down following "period of significant financial challenge"
Leadership changes have been made at a beloved distillery following a “period of significant financial challenges” over the past year.
Portsmouth Distillery was established back in 2018 with Vince Noyce and Giles Collighan who had a passion for creating unique spirits whilst also paying homage to the city.

Located in Fort Cumberland, the distillery has spent the last seven years crafting premium rums, gin and cider, with the five-year-old rum proving a hit.
Earlier this week, the Portsmouth Distillery took to social media, saying: “After many years, the two founders, Vince and Giles, have now formally stepped away from the business.
“Vince and Giles founded The Portsmouth Distillery with passion and creativity, establishing a much-loved distillery in a truly unique location.
“We would like to thank them for their contribution in creating the foundations on which the distillery stands today.
“The distillery is now focused on creating a welcoming venue and developing high-quality products that everyone can enjoy, while building on the distillery’s heritage and ensuring a strong and sustainable future.
The Portsmouth Distillery will be added to RRS Group’s portfolio which already consists of Wrecking Coast Distillery, in Cornwall, and Verdant Spirits Distillery, in Dundee.
The distillery will continue to offer a range of events including comedy nights and supper club, as well as cocktail masterclasses.
“We look forward to welcoming customers, partners, and friends as we continue this next chapter for The Portsmouth Distillery”, the post added.
Portsmouth Distillery has been contacted for more information.
