"Island escape" Flights to Isle of Man from Southampton Airport launch this weekend for a fantastic getaway

Travellers across Hampshire will soon have a brand-new island escape on their doorstep, with direct flights to the Isle of Man launching this weekend.
Loganair has officially opened its new Southampton hub, its tenth UK base, creating a direct air link between the South East and the Isle of Man starting on Saturday (January 10). Flights will operate every Saturday through to the end of March, with the route expected to continue beyond winter if demand proves strong.
The new service opens up easy access to the Isle of Man for short breaks or longer stays, offering South East travellers a chance to explore a whole island destination just a short flight away, from dramatic coastline and historic towns to dark skies, food, culture and wellness.
Alongside the route launch, the Isle of Man is encouraging visitors to take advantage of the new connection for winter mini-breaks centred on wellness, relaxation and nature - a quieter, restorative alternative to peak-season travel without leaving the British Isles.
