Waterlooville restaurant Koop + Kraft is offering cocktails delivered to your door
A restaurant, which has been offering its food menu for delivery throughout lockdown is now delivering a range of cocktails, wine, beer and gin to people’s doors.
Koop + Kraft, in Cowplain, was forced to turn its services to delivery-only at the end of March due to coronavirus restrictions, selling comfort meals such as burgers, ‘dirty’ fries and fried chicken.
It is now offering a range of alcoholic drinks as part of its home delivery service, including macchiato martinis, pink gin cocktails, prosecco and a range of beers.
Owner George Purnell started the new service as he felt that the customers were missing out on that side of the restaurant, having only offered food and soft drinks during lockdown.

The 27-year-old said: ‘People enjoy coming to Koop + Kraft and enjoying cocktails with friends so we thought “why not offer them to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes?” and it went from there.’
The restaurant, which opened in 2018, has been running a takeaway-only service for the last 11 weeks, with a smaller menu.
George said: ‘We didn’t want to close, because so many other restaurants were closing around that time and we knew we had to keep going.’
