Takeaway donates food to Queen Alexandra Hospital to mark Chinese New Year and thank staff for fighting coronavirus
A TAKEAWAY restaurant celebrated Chinese New Year by donating free meals to Queen Alexandra Hospital as staff continue to help coronavirus patients.
Kams Palace, in Park Gate, marked the occasion by delivering 75 main courses with rice and noodles to the Critical Care Unit at the hospital.
The Chinese restaurant delivered meals on Friday and Saturday.

Kam Ng, owner of Kams Palace, said: ‘We have two nurses who are regular customers and thought it would be nice to give those at the hospital some food to celebrate especially with all they are doing at the moment with Covid.
‘The food was delivered in tupperware boxes so just needed to be heated.
‘Although Friday was Chinese New Year there was not enough room at the hospital to deliver all the food in one go which is why we delivered on Saturday too.
‘We hope they enjoyed the food and at least they didn’t have to think about what they wanted for lunch.’
