A major UK supermarket is making a splash with a new service that could change your next supermarket visit.
Morrisons has partnered with SpotlessWater to install 24/7 self-service ultra-pure water stations across the UK, giving customers and local professionals a convenient way to access high-quality water at any time.
SpotlessWater, known for supplying water used by window cleaners, vehicle detailers, and solar panel specialists, launched its first stations in October, marking the beginning of a broader rollout that will expand the service to nine additional sites by early 2026.
The technology behind these stations is designed to be both efficient and sustainable. More than 45 sensors continuously monitor water quality, flow, and pressure, while the system eliminates the need for disposable resins and harsh cleaning agents.
Since 2016, SpotlessWater has operated over 150 stations nationwide, dispensing more than 600 million litres of water.

Jason Mallinson, the supermarket’s services procurement manager, described the partnership as “a new and sustainable service supporting local professionals and increasing reasons to visit our stores.”
SpotlessWater CEO Tim Morris said that the initiative will provide “more convenient, secure and well-located stations” while creating a complementary revenue stream for the retailer.
How much do SpotlessWater stations cost?
For customers, the partnership means a new reason to stop by Morrisons’ forecourts; tradespeople can refill their containers with ultra-pure water, while everyday shoppers may discover new ways to use high-quality water for household or vehicle tasks.
But using the SpotlessWater stations is not free, and the typical price for a litre of water comes in at around 4.3 pence (excluding VAT) for account users.
You can use the stations without setting up an account (just pay by debit/credit card at the machine), but the price is slightly higher - about 2 pence extra per litre on top of that base price.
Where will the new SpotlessWater stations be?
SpotlessWater opened its first stations at Morrisons in October, at stores in Shrewsbury, Lichfield, and Woking.
Those launches were part of a wider rollout, with nine more sites, including Cardiff, Whitley Bay, and Stratford, planned to go live by early 2026, and additional locations expected to follow.
