McDonald's to reopen all drive-thru restaurants in and around Portsmouth next week
MCDONALD’S has revealed plans to reopen all of its drive-thru restaurants next week.
The fast food giant closed all of its sites across the UK in March as the country went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It has opened several drive-thru restaurants in recent weeks as a pilot.
However McDonald’s has announced it will be opening the remain 924 drive-thru restaurants between Tuesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 4.

The fast food giant will also add 75 restaurants to McDelivery via Uber Eats or Just Eat.
In a post on social media, McDonald’s wrote: ‘In order to allow for social distancing, we will have fewer employees in our kitchen and service areas.
‘To help our smaller teams, we will be offering a limited menu over reduced hours (11am to 10pm).
‘We continue to ask that you limit your spend to £25 and use contactless payment methods wherever possible.
‘Our teams are adjusting to new safety and hygiene procedures, which will help them to work safely and social distance, we appreciate your continued patience.
‘We are delighted to be returning to communities across the UK and Ireland, but it will look different and take a little longer. Please bear with us.’
McDonald’s will confirm the locations of the reopening restaurants each morning from June 2.
The announcements will be made across the company’s website and social media channels.
