McDonald's announces 3 Hampshire drive-thru restaurants will open today
MCDONALD’S is reopening three of its Hampshire restaurants today.
The fast-food giant will be opening all of its drive-thru sites over the coming days, it announced last week.
McDonald’s shut all of its restaurants at the end of March as the country went into lockdown.
The company has been opening a handful of drive-thru restaurants in recent weeks as a pilot.

Following the success of the initial phase, McDonald’s has announced it will reopen all of its UK and Ireland drive-thrus between today and Thursday.
The company has announced the first batch of restaurants that are now open, including three in Hampshire.
McDonald’s drive-thrus in Andover – Weyhill in Joule Road, SP10 3UX, Andover – New Street in New Street, SP10 1DT and Ower in West Wellow Service Area, SO51 6GF are the ones to open.
When will the remain restaurants open?
McDonald’s will announced when further drive-thrus will reopening tomorrow and on Thursday.
These announcements will be made on McDonald’s social media channels and its website.
What safety measures will be in place?
In a post on social media, McDonald’s wrote: ‘In order to allow for social distancing, we will have fewer employees in our kitchen and service areas.
‘To help our smaller teams, we will be offering a limited menu over reduced hours (11am to 10pm).
‘We continue to ask that you limit your spend to £25 and use contactless payment methods wherever possible.
‘Our teams are adjusting to new safety and hygiene procedures, which will help them to work safely and social distance, we appreciate your continued patience.
‘We are delighted to be returning to communities across the UK and Ireland, but it will look different and take a little longer. Please bear with us.’
The fast food giant will also add 75 restaurants to McDelivery via Uber Eats or Just Eat.
