Community Rallies Around Claire’s Floristry & Tea Room as Business Celebrates Two Years

On any given day, the scent of fresh flowers mixes with the sound of conversation, laughter and coffee cups in a small shop that has quietly become one of the area’s most welcoming community spaces. What started as a personal dream for local florist Claire has grown into something far bigger — a place where people come together.
Earlier this year, the business shared an honest message about the realities of running an independent shop and the importance of community support. The response from local residents has been nothing short of remarkable.
Since that article was published, Claire’s Floristry & Tea Room in Littlepark Avenue, Havant, has seen an outpouring of encouragement from customers, neighbours and local supporters who have chosen to shop local, visit the tea room and attend events.
Many residents made a conscious effort to stop by, bring friends, share posts online and recommend the business to others. For Claire, the kindness shown by the community has been both uplifting and humbling.

“What really stood out to me was how people came together,” she said. “People popped in to say they had read the article and wanted to support us. That meant a lot.”
What started as a passion for floristry has grown into a much-loved community space where people gather not only for flowers and refreshments, but also for conversation, creativity and connection.
The shop, which proudly holds a five-star hygiene rating and operates as a licensed premises, has become known for its welcoming atmosphere and range of events, workshops and small gatherings. The space is also available for private hire, making it a popular choice for celebrations, social groups and creative evenings.
The business has also continued to focus on its values, including sustainability and environmentally conscious choices wherever possible.

“As a florist, we’re very mindful of the materials we use,” Claire explained. “Because we focus on eco-friendly practices, you won’t find any plastic here — just natural flowers, creativity and a lot of heart.”
The recent surge in support comes at a particularly special time for the business, which will soon celebrate an important milestone.
On 30th May, Claire’s Floristry & Tea Room will mark its second birthday, and the occasion will be celebrated with a community birthday party at the shop.
The event will be a free family fun day, featuring children’s games and entertainment, a live singer, a raffle with prizes, and plenty of birthday celebrations throughout the day. Visitors will also be able to enjoy treats from the tea room, with drinks available from the shop’s licensed bar.

There is no ticket required, and members of the community are simply invited to turn up and join in the celebration. Dogs are welcome, although they are asked to remain on leads.
As the business is a licensed premises, guests are kindly asked to purchase any food or drink consumed from the shop.
With a growing calendar of events, workshops and gatherings, the future is looking bright for the small business that has quickly become part of the fabric of the local area.
For Claire, the message remains simple: when a community supports its independent businesses, everyone benefits.
“Local businesses help create places where people can meet, connect and feel part of something,” she said. “And thanks to the community, we’re now doing better than ever.”
Members of the community are warmly invited to visit, attend an event, or join the celebrations on 30th May and experience the welcoming atmosphere that has made Claire’s Floristry & Tea Room such a valued local space.
