'Being a witch is a lifestyle': Niffty Witch Supplies named Spiritual Shop of the Year

Witchcraft store wins award

Witchcraft and spells are at the core of an independent shop which has been recognised as one of the best in the south.

Niffty Witchy Supplies, in Parade Park, Havant, is the brainchild of self-professed witch, Kora Wheeler-Osman, who turned her lifestyle into a business, which has been thriving since opening last October.

The shop, which sells spell kits, moon oil, candles, and an abundance of witchcraft supplies, has now been named Spiritual Shop of the Year in the South England Prestige Awards 2026/27.

Kora said: “Years ago, you couldn’t tell anyone you’re a witch, but there are a lot more people coming into it and I help customers who don’t really know where to start because I am very knowledgeable. It’s my lifestyle.

“I think the witchy, pagan side of things is coming out a bit more because they are more tolerant and accepting of this way of life.

“It’s surreal because the award is nominated so when I was contacted I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t realise how well it would take off because this is my life. My shop is what my life is.”

The 35-year-old, from Havant, was previously a full-time engineer, but health problems forced her to leave her profession. She explained how she quickly became “restless” during her time off, sparking the idea to open her own shop.

And in the space of a year, Kora has secured a loyal following of customers, with people travelling across the country to get their hands on her unique stock.

She continued: “It has been going really well. All of my customers are amazing and we have already got lots of regulars and a lot of people who are still finding us. For me, it is quite surreal.

“It is exciting, a little bit scary but I love what I do and the positive feedback we get from everyone is very uplifting and lovely.”

To meet demand, the practicing witch is now looking at expanding Niffty Witch Supplies by relocating to a bigger site in the same road as her current shop.

“We are hoping to expand. We have seen a site over the road which is three times the size”, Kora added, “The expansion would mean we could offer more and I could do my workshops there too.”
