Whiteley welcomes magical characters to entertain families
Whiteley has announced an exciting line-up of free character visits set to take place over the coming weekends, offering families the chance to make lasting memories this summer.
From now until Saturday 6th September, families will have the opportunity to meet some of their favourite characters for free at Whiteley, with a selection of superheroes and princesses based on popular film characters set to roam the centre this weekend and next.
The meet and greets will be held around the centre and on the main stage between 11am and 4pm on the following dates:
- Saturday 30th August: Magical Nanny and Cheeky Chimney Sweep
- Saturday 6th September: Tower Princess and Ruffian Prince

Mia Gordon, centre director at Whiteley, said: “We’re excited to bring some of the nation’s favourite characters to the centre for families to meet and snap that all-important selfie.
“We’re always looking for ways to put smiles on our shoppers’ faces, and the sessions are a brilliant way to keep the kids entertained for free – before heading to the shops or for a bite to eat afterwards too!”
There is no need to book in advance for any of the character visits, but it is advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Whiteley also recently announced the re-opening of its much-loved sandpit, with the refreshed space offering a brand-new decking area, accessibility ramp and a whole host of new toys to make sure all children can have even more fun outdoors.
Parents can also book a session at Little Giggle Street, Whiteley’s miniature, immersive village, or Rock Up those wanting to keep active over the last week of the summer holidays.
