New Santa’s Toymaker Workshop to launch at Spinnaker Tower
This Christmas, Santa is heading for Portsmouth as Spinnaker Tower unveils its festive experience for 2025 - Santa’s Toymaker Workshop.
Families are invited to become part of the making of Christmas itself with Santa’s elves putting their expertise to good use by helping children craft their very own cuddly toy to take home, before meeting the main man and exploring a special Christmas trail.
“Santa’s Toymaker Workshop is all about capturing the magic of Christmas in a way that’s creative, interactive and inclusive,” said Richard Hale, general manager at Spinnaker Tower.
“We planned the workshop with every child in mind, so everyone can play a part in the story - and every family leaves with memories that will last long after the decorations come down.”
New for 2025, the tower team is introducing dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) sessions, ensuring that the wonder of Christmas can be enjoyed by all in a way that suits them best. These exclusive times feature reduced capacity, softer lighting and a calmer atmosphere to provide enhanced accessibility.
A workshop full of wonder
Children will be welcomed into Santa’s bustling Toymaker Workshop, filled with festive sparkle. Guided by Santa’s team of elves, little guests will create their own soft toy - a keepsake to cherish forever - before heading to Santa’s grotto.
The adventure continues with a Christmas Trail around the iconic 170-metre tower. Families can follow mischievous elves hidden among the observation decks, discover stories of Christmas past and take in breathtaking winter views across Portsmouth Harbour and the Solent - all included in the day’s admission.
Warm up at the Cocoa Cabin
After the magic of the workshop, guests can pick up a festive warmer at the Cocoa Cabin, serving hot chocolates and seasonal drinks for grown-ups. Every child will also receive a complimentary hot chocolate.
