Glorious day for Spinnaker Chorus at the Chichester Festival for Music, Dance and Speech
Spinnaker were so thrilled to take part at the Chichester Festival for Music, Dance and Speech this year and earned themselves another win!
Singing "This is the moment" from the film - Jekyll and Hyde - arr.by Brent Graham and, "Have you seen her/Back for good" (Medley) arr.by Sam Hubbard, Spinnaker took to the stage and performed to a high standard wowing the adjudicator, David Gostick, with their overall sound. He said "You made a warm and unified sound, and textures were really well varied, with a good dynamic range explored and voices well balanced.
The way the words were handled were effective with vowels turned well. A very engaging and communicative performance". Spinnaker received an "Outstanding" grade and were awarded a first place medal.
After their success at the festival Spinnaker took themselves off to the city's cathedral and sang some repertoire songs together in front of a small public audience. With the sun shining as much as the newly won medal it truly was a glorious day!
Spinnaker would love to hear from anyone that is interested in joining their chorus, please get in touch! You can find us on Facebook & Instagram.
