'Christmas Socks' comes to Christmas Lee
Local Portsmouth author, Tina Cathleen MacNaughton, will be book signing her latest children's illustrated story 'Christmas Socks' this Saturday, 23rd November at 'The Book Shop', as part of Lee-on-the-Solent's Christmas event on the High Street.
A beautifully illustrated festive tale (or is that tail... ?) about a patched up sock, magically transformed for Christmas, and a mischievous mouse is sure to delight young children.

Tina is looking forward to joining in with all the Christmas festivities on Lee-on-the-Solent's High Street this weekend.
'I love having events at 'The Book Shop', she enthuses. 'Owner Sarah and staff are always so welcoming, and the traditional, independent shop has such a lovely ambiance and a great range of books and gifts. I will certainly be doing a bit of Christmas shopping myself whilst I am there.'

Tina has published three children's Christmas books, and also a novel, 'Delphy Rose' (Troubador) and a collection of poetry 'On the Shoulders of Lions' (The Choir Press), both of which may be purchased at 'The Book Shop'.
Tina is an active member of Portsmouth Writers' Hub and recently won First Prize for her story, 'Voices', in Portsmouth's Pens of the Earth's 'Wild Seas, Wilder Cities' anthology competition. Her poetry has recently been published in 'Orbis', Chichester's creative arts journal 'Ingenue' and Portsmouth's Football Club Programme!
'I love shopping local and this weekend is a great chance to give the High Street a good boost to early Christmas sales, whilst having a really lovely day out, so come along if you can.' says Tina.
Tina will be signing copies of 'Christmas Socks' at 'The Book Shop' at midday and is happy to read her story and talk about her writing. 'Christmas Socks' retails at just £5, making it an affordable, charming and unique gift for younger children (and maybe those who don't want to grow up too!)
Come along for a festive day out in the High Street by the sea!
